Aaron is a Legal Analyst at HighVista Strategies. He has previously worked as a Legal and Regulatory Analyst at PanAgora Asset Management, and as a Legal Practice Assistant for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom’s Litigation and M&A groups. He received his BA in Political Science from the University of Vermont.

Aaron is a Software Developer at HighVista Strategies, where he is responsible for building and maintaining internal software applications, custom automation services, and overseeing the firm’s data operations. Prior to joining HighVista in 2022, Aaron worked at a machine vision engineering firm designing software. He received a BS from Bryant University.

Aashan is an analyst at HighVista Strategies and supports our private credit investing. Prior to joining HighVista in early 2026, he was an analyst in SVB’s Associate Development Program. He received a BS from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor.

Adam co-leads Public Markets at HighVista Strategies and is a Partner of the firm. Prior to joining HighVista in 2016, Adam focused on Public Markets and Absolute Return at Harvard Management Company. In addition, he has worked at Amici Capital, Allston Development Group, and Charles River Associates. Adam received a BA magna cum laude from Middlebury College, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and is a CFA charterholder. 

AJ is the Head of Infrastructure at HighVista Strategies. He is responsible for the computer network infrastructure as well as the protection of the firm’s systems and data and cyber security policies. Prior to joining HighVista in 2021, AJ worked at Commonwealth Financial Network, where he provided technical support to the firm. AJ received a BA from Brandeis University.

Alex is a senior member of the HighVista Relationship Management team where he focuses on new business development and the firm’s institutional relationships. Before joining HighVista in 2023, Alex was a Managing Director at Advent Capital and CEO of Advent Capital Distributors. Prior to Advent, Alex was the Head of Business Development at Talara Capital and Head of Alternative Investments Sales at BBVA. Alex began his career in the Capital Markets group at Citibank. Alex received a BA from the University of Vermont and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University.

André is a Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of HighVista Strategies and a Partner of the firm. He was previously the George Gund Professor of Finance and Banking at the Harvard Business School where he served in senior roles including Senior Associate Dean and Chair of the Finance Faculty. André’s research and teaching were in investment management and the capital markets, for which he won numerous awards. André is a Board Member of The Vanguard Group and RIT Capital Partners and has served on a number of investment committees of not-for-profit institutions including the Mass General Brigham. He received a BSc (Hons) from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and an MS and PhD from Stanford University.

Andrea is an Associate Director at HighVista Strategies, where she is responsible for fund financial and accounting activities, including financial and regulatory compliance reporting. Prior to joining HighVista in 2022, Andrea worked in the audit practice of RSM LLP. Previously, she worked in fund administration at Standish Management. Andrea received her BS and MSA from Bentley University and is a Certified Public Accountant (Massachusetts).

Andrew is a Director on the Relationship Management team at HighVista Strategies, and focuses on servicing the firm’s institutional, private client, family office, and consultant relationships. Before joining HighVista in 2025, Andrew was a Vice President on the investment team at Solamere Capital. Prior to Solamere Capital, Andrew was a senior private equity and venture capital research professional at Meketa Investment Group. Andrew received a BA from Tulane University and an MBA from Babson College. 

Andrew is a Vice President at HighVista Strategies focused on the firm’s Private Equity strategy. He joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business and is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and monitoring HighVista’s Private Equity investments. Prior to joining HighVista, Andrew held a similar role at abrdn, where he had joined in 2018 from Meketa Investment Group where he was an Investment Associate. Andrew received a BS, magna cum laude, from Babson College.

Ashley is an Analyst on the Relationship Management team at HighVista Strategies. She assists with servicing the firm’s institutional, private client, and family office relationships. Prior to joining HighVista in 2025, Ashley worked in wealth management at Keenan Financial. She received a BBA from the University of Georgia.

Ben is a Managing Director at HighVista Strategies and a Partner of the firm. He focuses on the firm’s specialty private credit and opportunistic credit investing is a member of the Private Credit Investment Committee. Ben joined HighVista in 2021 and brings over 20 years of relevant experience to the role. Prior to joining HighVista, Ben was a Managing Director of Private Investments at Crescendo Asset Management. He held similar roles at Bayberry Funds, Platinum Partners, and Bear, Stearns & Co. Ben received a BA from Yeshiva University and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Bill is a Sr. Analytics Engineer at HighVista Strategies focused on the firm’s private markets performance and reporting. He joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business and is responsible for building and maintaining the firm’s data analytics and reporting infrastructure for private markets. Prior to joining HighVista, Bill held a similar role at abrdn where he had joined in 2021 from Johnson & Johnson where he was a Business Intelligence Engineer focused on pharmaceutical supply chain. Bill received a BS from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.

Braden is a Senior Fund Controller for HighVista Strategies, where he oversees accounting, reporting, and fund administration for private credit products. Prior to joining HighVista in 2024, Braden worked as a Vice President of Finance at Benefit Street Partners with a heavy focus on distressed and private credit strategies. Previously, he worked at ALPS Fund Services. Braden received a BS from Clemson University and is a CFA charterholder.

Brie is a Vice President on the Relationship Management team at HighVista Strategies. She joined HighVista in 2021 and assists with servicing the firm’s institutional, private client and family office relationships. Prior to joining HighVista, Brie was a Consulting Manager at FactSet Research Systems. She received a BS from Bentley University.

Caroline heads Relationship Management at HighVista Strategies and is a Partner of the firm. Prior to joining HighVista in 2012, Caroline was a strategy consultant at Bain & Company. She also spent time at Goldman Sachs in both the Capital Markets and Securities businesses, where she advised corporations and institutional investors on investing and hedging strategies. Caroline received an AB summa cum laude from Princeton University and an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.

Casey is an Assistant Fund Controller at HighVista Strategies focused on Private Equity and Venture Capital, where she is responsible for fund accounting and reporting. Prior to joining HighVista in 2025, Casey worked at Spark Capital as a Senior Finance Associate. Previously, she worked on the Finance Team at General Catalyst and as a financial services auditor at RSM US LLP. Casey received her BA from Dickinson College and MSA from Bentley University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (Massachusetts).

Dan is an Associate at HighVista Strategies and supports our private credit and special situations investing. Prior to joining HighVista in 2024, Dan was a Senior Associate at EY-Parthenon supporting its private equity clients through both buy and sell-side transactions. He received a BS summa cum laude from Bentley University and is a CFA charterholder.

Danielle is a Senior Executive Assistant for the Investment Group at HighVista Strategies. She joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. Prior to HighVista, Danielle joined abrdn in August 2015 following the acquisition of FLAG Capital Management and served as the Executive Assistant for Real Assets. Previously, she worked for her family’s businesses, Osetra Restaurant and Grande Harvest Wines.

Emily is the Office Manager at HighVista Strategies, where she is the point of contact for incoming and outgoing correspondence and is responsible for the coordination of company events, and office maintenance. Prior to joining HighVista, Emily worked as a teacher at the Advent School. Emily received a BS cum laude from College of the Holy Cross.

Greg is a Vice President at HighVista Strategies focused on the firm’s Venture Capital strategy. He joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. Greg is responsible for supporting the diligence and investment activities of the Venture Capital team by monitoring the performance of the firm’s existing fund managers and underlying portfolio companies, as well as evaluating new investment opportunities. Prior to HighVista, Greg joined abrdn through their Graduate Business Analyst program in June 2014 and held positions with abrdn’s North American Equities, Fixed Income, Private Equity, Product Development, and Marketing teams in their Philadelphia, New York, and London offices while part of the program. Greg received a BS from Miami University (OH).

Hailey is an Associate at HighVista Strategies focused on the firm’s Private Equity strategy. She is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and monitoring HighVista’s Private Equity investments. Prior to joining HighVista in 2024, Hailey worked in investment banking for Chestnut Partners. Hailey received a BA from Colby College.

Harvey is a Systems Engineer at HighVista Strategies. He is responsible for providing corporate IT support and managing cloud infrastructure. Prior to joining HighVista in 2024, Harvey worked on the IT service desk at UMass Boston. He received a BS from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Holly is an Analyst at HighVista Strategies, where she supports the alternative investment portfolio’s core operational workflows. Prior to joining HighVista in 2024, Holly worked at Harbourvest Partners as a Portfolio Data Analyst. Holly received a BA from Clark University.

Ian is an Associate on the Relationship Management team at HighVista Strategies. He joined HighVista in 2023 and assists with servicing the firm’s institutional, private client and family office relationships. Before joining HighVista, Ian worked for SVB Private onboarding wealth management clients, and previously at Brown Brothers Harriman assisting custody and securities lending clients with corporate actions. Ian received a BA from Vassar College.

James is an Operations Analyst at HighVista Strategies, where he specializes in supporting our marketable investment strategies. Prior to joining HighVista in 2025, James held roles at GMO, Anchor Capital Advisors, and Choate Hall & Stewart. James received a BS, Finance from Stonehill College.

James is an Analyst at HighVista Strategies and focuses on the firm’s public markets investing. He joined HighVista in 2023. He received a BS magna cum laude from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Jian is the Head of Development at HighVista Strategies, responsible for the firm’s software technology strategy, building and maintaining the firm’s proprietary software architecture, as well as vendor software integration and automation. Prior to joining HighVista in 2012, Jian spent twelve years as a software engineer for Accenture and Dimensional Fund Advisors, working on a variety of IT solutions in the aviation and financial services industries. Jian received a BS from Midwestern State University.

Jimmy is a Senior Systems Engineer at HighVista Strategies. He is responsible for maintaining our Cloud infrastructure. Prior to joining HighVista in 2023, Jimmy worked on the IT Service desk at UMass Boston and as a Security Analyst at Wellington Management. Previously, he worked as a Senior Paralegal in the United States Army, stationed in Korea and Louisiana. He received a BS from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Joe is a Principal at HighVista Strategies, focused on the firm’s Venture Capital strategy. He joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. Joe is responsible for supporting the diligence and investment activities of the Venture Capital team by monitoring the performance of the firm’s existing fund managers and underlying portfolio companies, as well as evaluating new investment opportunities. Prior to joining HighVista, Joe was an Investment Manager at abrdn and an analyst at FLAG Capital prior to its acquisition by abrdn in 2015. Before joining FLAG in 2014, Joe was an Analyst at Rocaton Investment Advisors where he was responsible for client portfolio monitoring. Joe received a BA from the University of Rochester.

John co-leads Private Equity at HighVista Strategies and is a Partner of the firm. He joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. John is a member of the Private Equity Investment Committee and is involved in all aspects of the investment process. John joined abrdn in 2015 from the FLAG Capital Management heritage team where he held a role of Principal. Prior to joining FLAG in 2010, John was a Principal at Berkshire Partners. Previously, he worked at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners as a Senior Analyst-Private Equity. He began his career with Credit Suisse First Boston as a Financial Analyst in the Investment Banking division. John received a BA from Middlebury College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Jordan is a Vice President at HighVista Strategies focused on the firm’s Private Equity strategy. He joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business and is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and monitoring HighVista’s Private Equity investments. Prior to joining HighVista, Jordan held a similar role at abrdn, where he had joined in 2018 from the Partners Healthcare Investment Office where he was an Investment Analyst. Prior to that, Jordan worked for Performance Equity Management as a Financial Analyst. Jordan received a BS from Fairfield University.

Kathleen is a Vice President on the Public Markets investment team and focuses on the firm’s biotechnology investments. Prior to joining HighVista in 2024, Kathleen worked in equity research at Leerink Partners primarily covering oncology equities, and before that in business development at BridgeBio. Kathleen received a BS in Chemical Engineering from MIT as well as an MS in Biology and PhD in Biochemistry from Harvard University as a Theodore H. Ashford Graduate Fellow.

Katie is a Portfolio Analyst at HighVista Strategies within the Private Equity team. She joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. Katie is responsible for providing investment and business support to the Private Equity team. This includes monitoring existing investments and portfolios, designing and managing custom portfolio analytics, and assisting in preparation for investor meetings including the firm’s annual LP conference. Katie held a similar role at abrdn, where she joined in 2018 from Brown Brothers Harriman. Previously, Katie worked at SCS Financial and JP Morgan. Katie received a BA from The University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Katie is an Executive Assistant for the Relationship Management team at HighVista Strategies. Prior to joining HighVista in 2025, she was the Administrative Assistant, Office Manager, and Marketing Coordinator at TM Capital LLC. Previously, she also spent time working at a boutique hotel on Martha’s Vineyard. Katie grew up just outside of Boston and received her bachelor’s in communication from University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Ken is a Director on the Relationship Management team at HighVista Strategies and joined the firm in 2025. He focuses on servicing the firm’s institutional, private client, family office, and consultant relationships. Before joining HighVista, Ken was a Vice President on the Investor Relations team at Two Sigma, and previously a member of the Investor Relations team at Forester Capital. Ken began his career working with alternative investors at Morgan Stanley. Ken received a BA from Fairfield University.

Kirsten heads Venture Capital at HighVista Strategies and is a Partner of the firm. She joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. She is a member of the Venture Capital Investment Committee and is involved in all aspects of the investment process. She has worked on the HighVista Venture Capital funds for nearly two decades, at abrdn and previously as a Principal at FLAG Capital Management prior to its acquisition by abrdn in 2015. Prior to joining FLAG in 2005, Kirsten worked for IBM in a variety of analytical roles. Kirsten received a BS from Babson College.

Lara is a Senior Paralegal at HighVista Strategies, focused on the firm’s Private Equity and Venture Capital strategies. She joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. Before joining HighVista, Lara had similar roles at abrdn, where she started in 2015 as part of the firm’s acquisition of FLAG Capital Management, LLC. She received a BS from Radford University.

Lindsay is a Compliance Analyst at HighVista Strategies, where she provides support within the legal department to the legal and compliance teams. Prior to joining HighVista in 2022, Lindsay worked on the Civil Litigation team at Venable LLP. Lindsay received a BA from High Point University.

Liz is an Executive Assistant at HighVista Strategies. Prior to joining HighVista in 2026, she served as Senior Executive Assistant to the Group CEO of FNZ. Prior to FNZ, Liz spent nearly a decade at Bank of America Private Bank supporting senior investment leadership, partnering closely with portfolio managers and executive teams across fixed income and trading. Liz brings almost 15 years of experience supporting C-suite leaders in global financial services organizations.

Liz is the Director of Marketing at HighVista Strategies, and is responsible for coordinating all marketing content for the firm and manages the firm’s PR relationships. Prior to joining HighVista in 2016, Liz was a Senior Sales Coordinator at John Hancock Insurance and previously, a Client Portfolio Specialist at Essex Financial Services. She received a BA from Gettysburg College.

Luke heads Private Credit at HighVista Strategies and is a Partner of the firm. He leads the firm’s investing across its specialty private credit and opportunistic credit verticals. In addition, Luke also concentrates on strategic investments including partnerships with teams that bring differentiated investment capabilities to HighVista’s portfolios and clients. Prior to joining HighVista in 2014, Luke was an analyst at RBC Capital Markets in their Global Investment Banking group, where he specialized in transactions across the real estate sector. Luke received a BS summa cum laude from Cornell University.

Luke is a Director on the Relationship Management team at HighVista Strategies focused on new business development and the firm’s institutional relationships. Before joining HighVista in 2024, Luke was Head of Business Development at RPD Fund Management. Prior to RPD, Luke was responsible for institutional business development at Saba Capital Management and AQR Capital Management. Luke began his career in the Fixed Income group at JP Morgan. Luke received a BA from Williams College and is a CAIA charterholder.

Luke is a Vice President at HighVista Strategies and supports our private credit and special situations investing. Prior to joining HighVista in 2022, Luke was a senior investment analyst at the UNC Management Company supporting its private investments team in managing private equity, real estate, energy, and credit portfolios. Before that he was an associate investment analyst at Fiduciary Counselling. He received a BA from the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Maggie is a Vice President at HighVista Strategies and focuses on the firm’s public markets investing. Prior to joining HighVista in 2022, Maggie was an associate at Goldman Sachs in the investment banking division. Previously, she worked at Bank of America in the capital markets group. She received a BA from Boston College.

Manny is the Director of Portfolio Analytics at HighVista Strategies, where he is responsible for overseeing internal and external reporting functions as well as providing analytical support to the investment team for portfolio management and macro data analysis. Prior to joining HighVista in 2017, Manny was with LPL Financial LLC as a Research Analyst in the Quantitative Strategy Group. Prior to that he worked in the High Voltage Electrical Engineering Field as an Engineering Designer for Vanderweil Engineers. Manny received a BS from Wentworth Institute of Technology and both a MS in Finance and MBA from Northeastern University. Manny is a CFA® charterholder.

Matt is a Senior Analyst on the Relationship Management team at HighVista Strategies focused on new business development. Prior to joining HighVista in 2024, he worked in Investor Operations at SS&C GlobeOp. Matt received a BA from Boston College.

Matt is the Director of Operations at HighVista Strategies, where he oversees the investment operations function for both the marketable and alternatives investment portfolios as well as the firm’s treasury function. Prior to joining HighVista in 2018, Matt worked on the Advisory Services team at Cambridge Associates. Previously, he worked at State Street in Alternative Investments Fund Administration. Matt received his BS from Roger Williams University and MSA from University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Max is a Vice President on the Relationship Management team at HighVista Strategies focused on new business development. Prior to joining HighVista in 2021, Max was a Sales Manager at John Hancock Financial, and previously an Advisory Associate at FS Investments. He received a BS from Cornell University.

Melissa is a Senior Analyst at HighVista Strategies, focusing on the firm’s Venture Capital strategy. She joined HighVista in 2024 and is responsible for supporting the diligence and investment activities of the Venture Capital team by monitoring the performance of the firm’s existing fund managers and underlying portfolio companies, as well as evaluating new investment opportunities. Prior to joining HighVista, Melissa was a Portfolio Data Analyst at HarbourVest Partners. She received a BS from Bentley University.

Michael is an Associate Director at HighVista Strategies, responsible for leading the Performance & Analytics function for the Private Equity and Venture Capital strategies. He joined the firm in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. Before joining HighVista, Michael held a similar role at abrdn as Head of Performance & Analytics – Private Equity. Prior to that, Michael was a Senior Analyst on the Private Equity team at Hirtle Callaghan and spent seven years with the company. Michael received a BS from Drexel University.

Michael is a  Senior Fund Controller at HighVista Strategies, where he oversees accounting and reporting for Private Equity and Fund of Fund products. He joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. Prior to joining HighVista, Michael held a similar role at abrdn having rejoined in 2020 from Asset Management One USA Inc. There he was Head of Portfolio Administration and managed the middle to back-office operations. Michael initially joined abrdn in 2016 through an Arden Asset Management/Robeco-Sage acquisition, serving as Fund Administration Manager. Previously he worked for Citco Fund Services between their New York and San Francisco offices. Michael received a BS from Long Island University.

Michael is the Director of Private Equity and Venture Capital operations at HighVista Strategies. He is responsible for fund finance, accounting, financial reporting, client services, treasury management, and service provider governance for Private Equity and Venture Capital. Michael held a similar role at abrdn before joining HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. Before joining abrdn, Michael spent 14 years with BlackRock in their Global Accounting and Product Services group. Prior to that, Michael spent 4 years with Ernst & Young in their New York Financial Services office, focusing primarily on audits of various types of investment companies. Michael received a BS from Rutgers Undergraduate School of Business, New Brunswick.

Nancy is the Accounting Manager of Operations at HighVista Strategies, where she oversees the internal accounting functions, payroll, and benefits. Prior to joining HighVista in 2023, Nancy worked as the Finance and Operations Manager at Sage Analysis Group in Boston. Previously, she worked at ClassMeasures, Inc., as the Finance Manager. Nancy received a BA from Michigan State University and MBA from Villanova University.

Naomi is a Senior Associate on the Reporting team at HighVista Strategies and assists with all aspects of performance analytics and fund reporting. Prior to joining HighVista in 2023, she worked at Brown Brothers Harriman in Fund Accounting. Naomi received a BS and MSF from Northeastern University.

Nick serves as Chief Compliance Officer and Counsel of HighVista Strategies, and he is a Partner of the firm, with responsibility for administering HighVista’s compliance program. Prior to joining HighVista in 2015, Nick worked for Foreside Compliance Services, LLC, where he provided comprehensive compliance consulting services to registered investment advisers and commodity pool operators, and served as a Chief Compliance Officer to a closed-end interval fund. Nick received a BA from Northeastern University, a JD from the University of Maine School of Law, and is a licensed attorney in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Nicole is an Executive Assistant at HighVista Strategies. She joined HighVista in 2025 and assists the Investment Groups. Prior to joining HighVista, she supported teams in a similar capacity at Liberty Mutual and Philips Healthtech. She received a BS from Endicott College.

Niels co-leads Public Markets at HighVista Strategies and is a Partner of the firm. Prior to joining HighVista in 2018, Niels worked for over ten years in public markets investing at both Highfields Capital and Citadel Investment Group. Niels is a Trustee of Mount Auburn Cemetery where he serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee. Niels received a BS cum laude from Duke University and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Joseph Wharton Fellow and a Palmer Scholar.

Olivia is an Analyst on the Client Relations team at HighVista Strategies. She joined HighVista in 2024 and assists with servicing the firm’s institutional, private client and family office relationships. Prior to joining HighVista, Olivia worked at Goldman Sachs as an Associate in the Asset & Wealth Management division servicing high net worth clients, and previously a Client Relations Manager at Mayflower Advisors. She received a BA from Boston College.

Owen is a senior analyst at HighVista Strategies and supports our private credit investing. Prior to joining HighVista in 2025, Owen was an analyst at Second Avenue Capital Partners supporting underwriting and portfolio management for asset-based loans in the retail and consumer products sectors. Before that, he was a credit analyst at Citibank and Berkshire Hills Bancorp Inc. He received his BA in economics from Boston College.

Peter is a Senior Advisor at HighVista Strategies and a member of the Venture Capital Investment Committee. Peter joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. At abrdn, Peter co-led the Global Venture Capital strategy and was previously a co-founder of FLAG Capital Management, which was bought by abrdn in 2015. Prior to co-founding FLAG in 1994, Peter spent twelve years managing both direct and indirect venture capital and private equity portfolios as Executive Vice President of the Marshall Field family office. He has over 30 years of experience in the private equity business. Peter received a BA from Trinity College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Raphi is the Deputy Chief Investment Officer of HighVista Strategies and a Partner of the firm. Raphi joined HighVista in 2004 to develop the investment strategy for HighVista’s endowment funds. Since that time, he has been involved in nearly all areas of HighVista’s portfolio, including responsibility for many of the firm’s hedge fund and private investment relationships. Raphi has broad experience investing in structured credit, uncorrelated assets, and emerging markets. Prior to joining HighVista, Raphi worked in Strategic Planning at Spirit Airlines. He was part of the team that helped grow the airline into one of the most successful airlines in the US. Raphi received an AB from Harvard College, and an SM and PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was a Department of Defense Fellow. Raphi’s graduate study focused on Operations Research and Transportation/Logistics.

Rich is the Chief Financial Officer at HighVista Strategies and a Partner of the firm. He has responsibility for the firm’s overall financial architecture including fund finance and accounting, tax structure and compliance, and management company support. Prior to joining HighVista in 2016, Rich was at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the hedge and private equity funds practice, and previously at SS&C Strategies in hedge fund tax administration. Rich received a BS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a MPAc from Bryant University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (New York).

Rob is a Managing Director at HighVista Strategies and a Partner of the firm. He focuses on the firm’s Private Equity strategy and is a member of the Private Equity Investment Committee. Rob joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. He is primarily responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing direct co-investments and fund commitments. Rob joined abrdn in 2018 and has spent most of his career in private equity and corporate strategy. Before joining abrdn, Rob held roles in Corporate Development and Strategy at TripAdvisor. Prior to that, Rob was a Vice President at Altamont Capital Partners, an Associate at Golden Gate Capital, and a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company. Rob received a BS from Johns Hopkins University and an MS from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Ron serves as General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of HighVista Strategies, and he is a Partner of the firm, with oversight of Legal and Compliance, Finance, Operations, Information Technology and Human Resources. Prior to joining HighVista in 2014, he was a Vice President in the Legal Department of Affiliated Managers Group, Inc. where he helped AMG manage relationships with its investment management affiliates and provided general counseling services to those affiliates. Prior to AMG, Ron spent most of his career representing corporations and venture capital, private equity and hedge fund investment managers in acquisitions, investments and public offerings while working as an attorney at Jones Day, Weil Gotshal and Proskauer. Ron received his BBA from Southern Methodist University and JD and MBA degrees from Emory University. Ron is also a Certified Public Accountant (Texas).

Rose is a Senior Fund Controller at HighVista Strategies and is responsible for overseeing the accounting and fund administration of the Private Equity and Venture Capital strategies. She joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. At abrdn, she worked in an oversight role on the Venture Capital and the Private Equity funds for nearly two years. Prior to joining abrdn, Rose worked at a fund administrator after beginning her career at Deloitte in the audit practice. Rose received a BS and MSA from the University of Vermont.

Ross is Investment Counsel at HighVista and provides legal support to the firm’s investment professionals across a broad range of transactions and strategic initiatives. Prior to joining HighVista in 2025, Ross was an associate at Ropes & Gray where he advised clients in various transactional and fund formation matters. Ross received a BA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and his JD from Boston College.

Ross is an Associate at HighVista Strategies focused on the firm’s Private Equity Strategy. He is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and monitoring HighVista’s Private Equity investments. Prior to joining HighVista in 2024, Ross worked as a Senior Investment Analyst at Landmark Management, LLC. Ross received a BA from St. Lawrence University.

Ryan is a Managing Director at HighVista Strategies and a Partner of the firm. He focuses on the firm’s Private Equity strategy and is a member of the Private Equity Investment Committee. Ryan joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business and is responsible for sourcing, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring of both fund investments and direct co-investments. He held a similar role at abrdn where he joined in 2015 following the acquisition of FLAG Capital Management, LLC. Prior to joining FLAG in 2008, Ryan worked for Alliance Consulting Group as a Consultant, where he executed both pre-transaction diligence and post-transaction operations for private equity-backed companies. Ryan received a BS from the University of Virginia with High Distinction.

Sam is a Tax Manager at HighVista Strategies, where he is responsible for fund tax compliance, investor tax reporting, and investment tax diligence. Prior to joining HighVista in 2019, Sam worked as a Senior Tax Associate in the Asset Wealth Management group at PwC. Sam received a BA from College of the Holy Cross. He is a Certified Public Accountant (Massachusetts).

Scott co-leads Private Equity at HighVista Strategies and is a Partner of the firm. He joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. Scott is a member of the Private Equity Investment Committee and is involved in all aspects of the investment process. Scott joined abrdn in 2015 from the FLAG Capital Management heritage team where he held a similar role as Partner and Head of the Private Equity strategy. Prior to joining FLAG in 2007, Scott was a Principal at Portico Capital LLC, and a Senior Associate at J.H. Whitney & Co. Previously, he worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Co. Scott received a BA from Colby College and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.

Serene is Deputy Chief Administrative Officer of HighVista Strategies and is responsible for overseeing the enabling functions across the Private Equity and Venture Capital strategies including fund operations, performance & analytics, legal & compliance, client service and investment systems. She joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. At abrdn, Serene had a similar role where she was the Chief Operating Officer. Prior to her appointment as COO, she served as Head of Business Management focused on abrdn’s broader US Private Markets business including Real Assets, Fund Financing and Minority Investment strategies. Serene joined abrdn in August 2015 following the acquisition of FLAG Capital Management. Before joining FLAG in 2007, Serene was a Senior Financial Analyst at IBM and spent four years with the company. Serene holds a BS from Babson College. She has over sixteen years of experience in private equity.

Stephanie is the Director of Human Resources at HighVista Strategies and is responsible for aligning people strategies with business objectives, building scalable HR infrastructure, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing workplace culture. Prior to joining HighVista Strategies, Stephanie held senior HR roles in the financial technology and higher education sectors. She is a certified SHRM-CP, holds a Masters degree from Pepperdine University, Caruso School of Law, and a BA from the University of Tampa. 

Taylor is an Associate Director at HighVista Strategies, where he manages alternative investment operations. He is responsible for data management technologies, investment reporting, treasury and capital activity, and related workflows. Prior to joining in 2020, Taylor was an Associate Director of Finance at Harvard Management Company. Taylor received a BS from Northeastern University.

Tecla is an Executive Assistant at HighVista Strategies. Prior to joining HighVista, she worked in a similar capacity at Kepos Capital in NYC and Naples, FL. Previously, her career was spent in service industries, focusing on business development and operations with high-end boutique companies, ranging from travel to luxury retail and interior design. In between, she ventured into the food business and co-founded a gelato retail and wholesale operation in Naples, FL. Tecla grew up between Italy and Boston and received her BS from Babson College.

Tim is a senior member of the HighVista Strategies Relationship Management team where he focuses on new business development and the firm’s institutional relationships. Before joining HighVista in 2014, Tim was a Managing Principal at TFC Financial. Prior to TFC Financial, Tim was a founding Partner and Director of Client Service at First Quadrant, L.P., where he served in various roles including marketing, trading, participation on the Management Board, and acting as Relationship Manager to the Firm’s largest clients. Previous to First Quadrant, Tim spent four years with Bank of Boston based in Frankfurt, Germany working on international finance and venture capital in the high technology sector. Tim serves on the Corporation of The Belmont Hill School. Tim received a BS from Middlebury College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a CFA charterholder.

Whit is a Managing Director at HighVista Strategies and a Partner at the firm. He focuses on the firm’s Private Equity strategy and is a member of the Private Equity Investment Committee. Whit joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including portfolio construction and the due diligence and ongoing monitoring of existing and prospective fund commitments, co-investments, and secondaries. Prior to joining abrdn in 2016, Whit had worked at SL Capital Partners, and previously, he was an Investment Analyst at the University of Pennsylvania endowment allocating to private equity, venture capital, and hedge fund opportunities. Whit received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Villanova University.

William is an Operations Analyst at HighVista Strategies focused on fund accounting and reporting for the Private Equity and Venture Capital strategies. Prior to joining HighVista in 2025, William was a Senior Audit Associate at CBIZ focused on various investment company clients, and previously at Ultimus LeverPoint as a private equity fund Accountant. William received his BS and MSA from Siena University.

William is an Associate on the Client Relations team at HighVista Strategies. He joined HighVista in 2024 and assists with servicing the firm’s institutional, private client and family office relationships. Prior to joining HighVista, William worked at Bain Capital and JPMorgan Chase. He received a BS from Drexel University.

Woody is a Vice President at HighVista Strategies focused on the firm’s Private Equity strategy. He joined HighVista in 2025 and is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and monitoring HighVista’s Private Equity investments. Prior to joining HighVista, Woody was a Vice President at AEA Investors working with their small business fund buyout strategy. Prior to that, Woody worked for Piper Sandler as an Investment Banking Analyst focused on the healthcare industry. Woody received a BS, cum laude, from Trinity College.

Yumin is a Quantitative Analyst at HighVista Strategies and focuses on the firm’s asset allocation and risk monitoring. Prior to joining HighVista in 2022, Yumin worked as a data scientist at Plymouth Rock focusing on insurance pricing, and began his career developing equity and derivative models at GF Securities in China. Yumin received a BS from the University of Science and Technology of China and an MS from Boston University.

Yvonne is Head Fund Counsel at HighVista Strategies and is responsible for the development, formation and maintenance of the Private Equity and Venture Capital strategies and the execution of their investments. She joined HighVista in 2023 as part of its acquisition of the abrdn US private markets business. At abrdn, Yvonne had a similar role where she was Head of Legal US Private Equity for ACM. She joined abrdn in June 2019 as counsel supporting the private markets asset classes in the Americas. She has 10 years of alternative investments experience and previously was a private investment funds associate at Goodwin Procter LLP in their Boston and New York offices. Yvonne received a BA from Harvard College and her JD from New York University School of Law.

Zoe is a Senior Associate at HighVista Strategies on the Marketing Team. She is responsible for assisting in the preparation and coordination of marketing materials for the firm. Prior to joining HighVista in 2022, Zoe worked in client service for MFS Investment Management. Zoe received a BS and MBA from Providence College.
